In our latest efforts to support vulnerable children, we encountered Yonna, a young boy with a challenging home situation. His story is one of resilience and the community's commitment to his future.

During our visit to Yonna's home, we found that his father was absent, having gone to the local trading center. Unfortunately, the parents of Yonna are separated, as noted in his profile. This separation has contributed to some of the instability in his life.

The exact reason why Yonna left home is unclear. However, it’s said that he was sent back home due to a lack of school fees. His impatience led him to leave home instead of waiting for a solution. Sadly, this isn't the first time Yonna has been in such a situation. In the past, both Buyende Police and Kamuli Police have had to return him to his home. This latest effort by the Jinja Connection marks the third time he’s been brought back, though this time it was voluntary, with a strong desire to return to school and continue his education.

We will closely follow up on Yonna's case to ensure that he receives the support he needs to remain in school and build a brighter future.
